  • This is an open competition to any hobbyist – club affiliation is not required.
  • Pre-Registrations
    All pre-registrations by mail must be received no later than Monday, August 11th, 2008. $4.00 per entry. Maximum individual entry will be $20.00.
  • Registrations at the Door
    4 - 9 p.m. ~ Friday August 15th
    7 - 9 a.m. ~ Saturday August 16th
    $5.00 per entry. Maximum individual entry will be $25.00
  • Skill Levels
    There are 5 levels in each Category for Carving & Woodworking.
  • No entry may be removed from the Show until after closing time 4 p.m. Sunday August 17th, 2008.
  • Artisans wishing to sell their work may rent tables for a fee of $15.00 per table. These must be booked and paid for in advance.

The Contest (poem)

The contest lasts for moments
Though the training taken years,
It wasn’t the winning alone
That was worth the work and tears.

The applause will be forgotten
The prize will be misplaced
But the long hard hours of practice
Will never be a waste.

For in trying to win
You build a skill
You learn that winning
Depends on Will.

You never grow by how much you win
You only grow by how much you put in.

So any new challenge you’ve just begun
Put forth your best and you have already won.
